Why voice and video work
A LinkedIn inbox in 2026 is a wall of near-identical text. “Hi {First name}, I noticed you’re leading sales at {Company}.” Everyone has seen it a thousand times. In a controlled test across 8,385 prospects, a text-only first touch replied at 28.8 percent while a personalised video first touch replied at 40.4 percent, and meetings rose 57 percent.
A voice note is different for a simple reason. It is obviously a person. The prospect hears a real accent, a real pace, their own name said out loud. A short video does the same with a face. Neither can be scanned and dismissed in half a second the way text can. In our data, personalised voice and video messages regularly clear 40 percent reply rates, and the meetings that follow are warmer because the prospect already feels they’ve met you.
The problem has always been scale. Recording 200 individual voice notes a week is not a job anyone keeps doing. That’s what Prospectio solves.
How it works
- Record once. A 30 to 45 second clip, phone or webcam. Say who you are, what you do, and leave natural gaps where the prospect’s name and company will go. We give you a script structure that works.
- Prospectio clones the delivery. Your voice is cloned from the recording. For video, your actual footage is used, with the greeting and company reference adjusted per prospect. It’s you on camera, not a synthetic presenter.
- Every prospect gets their own version. “Hi Sarah, saw you’re building out the UK team at Acme” for Sarah. “Hi Marcus” for Marcus. Generated at send time, in your voice, sounding like you recorded it for them.
- It sits inside the sequence. Typically: connection request, then voice note after accept, then a follow-up message, then a video or email. You choose the order.
What to say
The best-performing scripts follow a simple shape: who you are (one sentence), why them specifically (one sentence, and this is where the ICP filter’s findings go), what you’d like (one sentence). Thirty seconds. No pitch, no feature list. There are worked examples in the templates library.
Safety
Voice messages are a native LinkedIn feature on mobile, and Prospectio sends them through the same mobile-style API as the rest of the sequence, on residential IPs, with human-like delays and conservative daily limits. Details are in how we keep accounts safe.
