Waalaxy review: the best free start, with a ceiling you'll hit

Waalaxy is the easiest way to find out whether LinkedIn outbound works for you without spending anything. Then it becomes the tool you outgrow.

Paul CassidyBy Paul Cassidy, founder of Prospectio.ai. Ex Google, Salesforce and Twilio sales leader. Updated 4 September 2026.
In short: Waalaxy has the most usable free tier in LinkedIn automation and a friendly interface. It's a browser extension, which is the least safe architecture, and the free quota caps quickly. Perfect for testing the channel; not where you want to be in six months.

Disclosure: we build Prospectio, a paid competing tool.

What Waalaxy is

A French-built LinkedIn automation tool that runs as a Chrome extension, with a freemium model. You install it, it works inside your LinkedIn session, and you build simple sequences of invitations, messages and email steps.

What it does well

The free tier is real. Most “free” tools in this category are a trial in disguise. Waalaxy’s free plan gives you a genuine weekly invitation allowance, which is enough to run a small campaign and see whether anyone replies. For a founder who isn’t sure LinkedIn outbound is worth paying for, that’s the right way to find out.

Simplicity. Pre-built sequence templates, clear interface, low learning curve. You can be running a campaign within twenty minutes of installing it.

Email finding. An email enrichment feature is bundled in on paid plans, which saves stitching a separate tool in at low volume.

Price. Paid tiers are cheaper than most cloud competitors.

The trade-offs

It’s a browser extension. This is the important one. Extension tools inject scripts into LinkedIn’s own pages, which is the pattern LinkedIn detects most reliably. They also only run while your browser is open and you’re logged in, so campaigns stop when you close the laptop. Cloud tools with a residential IP are a meaningfully safer architecture. See our limits guide for what that means in practice.

The free plan caps fast. By design. A few dozen invitations a week won’t sustain a pipeline.

Basic personalisation. Token merge. No qualification of prospects, no voice, no video.

Not a team tool. It’s built around an individual user. Managing several people’s campaigns is awkward.

Who should use Waalaxy

  • Anyone testing whether LinkedIn outreach works for their offer, for free.
  • Solo freelancers and consultants sending small, occasional volume.
  • People who want simple and cheap and accept the extension risk.

Who shouldn’t

  • Teams. It isn’t built for them.
  • Anyone whose LinkedIn account is business-critical, particularly recruiters.
  • Anyone who needs campaigns running while they sleep.

The verdict

The right first tool for a lot of people and the wrong tenth tool for almost everyone. Use it to prove the channel, then move to something cloud-based before you scale volume.

Frequently asked questions

Is Waalaxy really free?

There's a genuine free tier with a weekly invitation quota, which is enough to test whether the channel works for you. Serious volume needs a paid plan.

Is Waalaxy safe? It's a browser extension.

It's the main caveat. Extension-based tools inject code into LinkedIn's pages, which is the easiest kind of automation for LinkedIn to detect, and they only run while your browser is open. Keep volume low and expect more risk than a cloud tool.

Who is Waalaxy best for?

A solo founder or freelancer testing LinkedIn outreach for the first time, or anyone sending small volumes who wants a simple interface and no monthly cost.
