What the data says about this persona
Heads of RevOps carry the second highest deal size in the dataset at €51,900 and the fifth highest meeting rate at 5.0 percent. Together that is €2.60m of pipeline per thousand prospects, second only to solution architects.
The role is relatively new, the people in it are usually the ones who evaluate and buy tooling, and there are not many of them, which is an unusual combination: high value, high intent, low competition for attention. The constraint is list size. At 26,700 prospects across eight years this was one of our smaller segments, and in most markets you will exhaust the addressable list inside a quarter.
They also respond well to the thing most personas ignore, which is data. A RevOps lead is the one person in the building whose job is comparing numbers, so a specific benchmark in the first message does work that a value proposition does not.
What to put in the message
A number. Their current stack by name. One question about how they measure the thing you do.
What to leave out
Vague efficiency claims. RevOps people build the dashboards that would disprove them.
The format itself does not change by persona. Across every segment we tested, the winning first message was two and a half sentences, ended in a question, named something of theirs, said nothing about us and landed between 240 and 420 characters. That version replied at 44.5% against 18.6% for the same message with solution detail added.
Method
Figures for this persona come from 26,700 prospects inside a wider dataset of 389,890 prospects and 15,018 meetings, run for 17 clients across 41 programmes between 2018 and 2026. Prospects were split at random inside each client account, so industry, geography, seniority and company size are held constant on both sides of every controlled test. Meetings are counted at the point one was accepted in the client’s calendar; we do not track what happens after that.
Full method, all fifteen tests and the breakdowns by company size and region are on the 2026 outbound benchmarks page.
